Wimbledon Windmill, in the heart of Wimbledon Common, has for many years housed a museum of windmills.  The museum is run entirely by volunteers and provides free entry to visitors. Several thousand visitors every year learn about the history of Wimbledon Common and the construction and operation of windmills. The museum also has an educational remit, and provides guided visits to school and adult groups, linking in with the National Curriculum.
