Lyme Resource Centre (LRC) is a charity with a mission to minimise risk of Lyme disease whilst enjoying the outdoors, by educating the public and healthcare professionals about ticks and Lyme disease.   Lyme disease is a bacterial infection acquired from the bite of an infected tick. Diagnosed early and treated promptly with antibiotics, most cases of Lyme disease are treatable. But ticks can be tiny and their bites are painless, meaning they are often missed. Climate change means tick are increasingly prolific with increased risk of Lyme disease and UK Health Security Agency recognises this.
