1. Who we help (our beneficiaries): Haraya Choir supports a diverse community of Filipino and British individuals in the UK, particularly those from healthcare and migrant backgrounds. Our members, audiences, and collaborators include NHS workers, students, artists, and individuals seeking a sense of community, cultural expression, and personal growth through music. 2. How we help them (our services): We offer regular choir rehearsals, high-standard vocal training, public performances, cultural workshops, and opportunities to perform in prestigious venues across the UK. We also provide members with mentorship and musical development, regardless of their previous experience. Beyond music-making, we create a safe, welcoming space that fosters friendship, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of belonging. 3. Why our help matters (our impact): Our work empowers people through music and cultural connection. Many members join us to overcome isolation, develop confidence, or reconnect with their heritage. We’ve helped first-time singers grow into confident performers and created lasting bonds among members from different walks of life. Our public performances promote cross-cultural appreciation, raise funds for community causes, and celebrate Filipino-British identity, amplifying voices that are often underrepresented in UK arts and media.
