At Young Giants, we believe that with the right support, every child can thrive in education—no matter the barriers they face.

Young Giants began in 2016, born from one teacher’s belief that things could be better. After spending time teaching in Alternative Provision (AP), our founder, Jaime Johnson, felt strongly that the children and young people of her borough deserved more — more thought, more quality more consistency, and more belief in their potential. Drawing on her training and teaching experience in a variety of settings she gathered a small team of likeminded QTS tutors, and set to work raising qualitative standards of tuition, focussing on the Growth Mindset, learner confidence and intrinsic motivation.

Attracting the attention of her local authority inclusions department, Young Giants soon became a fully approved education provider, specialising in AP tuition and today, we proudly support learners across multiple boroughs — always staying true to the values we started with.

As a managed education service—not a tuition agency— we work closely with learners, families, educators, and wider support teams, believing that collaboration is the key to success. Our approach is holistic, with a strong focus on re-engagement, accessibility, and intrinsic motivation. We design and deliver personalised education programmes that include home or community tuition, mentoring, courses, and qualifications.

Our mission: To ensure every learner referred to us has access to a bespoke, needs based programme of education, no matter the barriers they face. With creativity, flexibility, and collaboration, we seek to re-engage and redefine a learner's relationship with education, building their academic achievement, personal ambition and inclusion.
