The Lonely Club supports adults who are experiencing loneliness, social isolation, or difficulty forming meaningful connections in traditional social settings. Many of our beneficiaries are neurodivergent (including autistic and ADHD individuals), people navigating life transitions, or those who feel excluded from typical social environments such as bars, clubs, or large social groups.
We provide inclusive, low-pressure spaces where people can meet others, build friendships, and experience a sense of belonging. Our approach prioritises accessibility, emotional safety, and authentic connection. Sessions are designed to remove the social pressures that often make it difficult for people to participate in mainstream social activities.
Our work matters because loneliness is a growing public health issue that can have serious impacts on mental health, wellbeing, and confidence. Many of the people we support have struggled to find spaces where they feel comfortable being themselves. By creating welcoming environments where connection happens naturally, we help people feel less alone, more supported, and more confident in building relationships.
