Community Futures aims to develop and support balanced and sustainable communities throughout Lancashire. The organisation is registered as Community Council of Lancashire but uses Community Futures as a working title. It was founded in 1934 in Manchester with the aim of relieving poverty during the depression years. The activity of the organisation has changed over time, but the focus has always been on the provision of services to support, develop and sustain community life.
