RheEnergise is enabling a net-zero power system with energy storage.
To combat climate change, we need to decarbonise our power system. This means replacing fossil fuel generation with renewable energy such as wind or solar. However, wind and solar energy is intermittent, and supply does not always match demand.
To balance the variability of renewable energy supply, we need a large amount of energy storage, which can store renewable energy at times of high generation for dispatch when it is needed, providing flexibility and stability to renewable power grids.
We have developed High-Density Hydro- a new form of long-duration energy storage which can meet the demands of a net-zero power system. It is low-cost, scalable, and does not suffer from the environmental issues associated with batteries.
