Our vision is that people seeking sanctuary will be welcomed by and included in local communities, and have full access to rural environments and experience for their good health and welfare. Our project has grown out of Hill House, Amberley, Gloucestershire, which is now used as a rest and retreat venue in particular for refugees, asylum seekers and survivors of trafficking or torture. The house is also available for others who are seeking short periods of restoration, or to pursue a particular creative interest, either as individuals or in groups. We know that groups and individuals visiting Hill House find rest, respite and a warm welcome. Our volunteers gain fulfillment and enjoyment from practical work and sharing with a wider community.
