We believe more can be done to help individuals struggling with their mental health. At Small Pharma, we are driven by the possibility of developing potentially transformative new treatments for depression with the hope that we can help millions access new alternative therapies to current antidepressants.

Small Pharma and Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy We believe psychedelics play a role in modern psychiatry. Whilst restricted from scientific research for decades,the recent resurgence in psychedelic research has shone a light on these compounds as potential medical treatments that could radically change the way we treat mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety and substance abuse. Clinical research suggests that psychedelics can help break unhelpful neural connections that underlie the flow of recurring negative thoughts characteristic of certain mental health conditions. In combination with wraparound therapy, this therapy we believe allows individuals suffering with depression to target the root cause of their condition.

Our focus is DMT, and we are proud to be leading the world’s first patient trial using DMT in combination with psychotherapy as a treatment for major depression. DMT is a classical psychedelic, deemed to be one of the more intense psychedelic experiences but short lasting. We hope DMT assisted therapy could potentially in the future provide rapid and long lasting relief from depression.

We are a small biotech but passionate about accelerating safe and transparent R&D. As a recently listed company on the Toronto Venture Stock Exchange in May 2021 (TSXV: DMT) and well-funded, we are now entering a new phase of the company. We are focused on catapulting the execution of our R&D programmes and to increase our recognition as a leading psychedelic biotech.
