Welcome. We’re redefining work as a pathway to purpose. _SocialStarters delivered 500+ volunteer consulting projects for 386 social enterprises in five countries. Professionals from Microsoft, KPMG, Deloitte, Salesforce, Pernod Ricard, and L’Oréal shared their skills to help early-stage ventures solve challenges. Many discovered new purpose, moving into social enterprise, sustainability, or B-Corp careers.
Though SocialStarters closed in 2023, its legacy lives on in 'Social Starters: Make Changing the World Your Business', the new book by co-founder Andrea Gamson (September 2025). Blending manifesto and practical guide, it distils fifteen years of learning into six steps for activating your role as a social starter. The book empowers readers to harness entrepreneurship for social good, showing how business can be a powerful force for change, while championing a deep inner quest, promising to “nourish the spirit of the reader” (Satish Kumar).

Through weekly missions, reflection prompts, and practical career-shift tools, all seen through a social and environmental impact lens, you’ll explore your values, strengths, and vision, gaining clarity and momentum for your next chapter. Sound like something you need in your life? Well, you’re in luck. This programme only started this year, but it’s already making waves. It’s not just us that think it’s great – the participants do too, with rave reviews for how “mind-opening” and “inspiring” it is.
