SolarNow is a social enterprise that sells and finances solar systems in Uganda mostly to rural off-grid people who do not have any form of electricity whom we provide with credit. We are a medium sized enterprise with 300 staff and 36 offices.

Access to electricity is also one of the biggest challenges for the success and productivity of small and growing businesses. Providing energy will have a significant impact to opportunities for entrepreneurs and help small businesses provide services for longer and grow revenue therefore creating a multiplier effect to the socio economic impact for rural communities.

Operations started in Uganda in May 2011.SolarNow has since sold +10000's of Solar systems. The Ugandan distribution network is strong and growing with increasing levels of repeat orders from existing customers. Client repayment performance is excellent with low delinquencies and minimal write offs.

The business vision of the company is to grow in Africa and beyond. In the coming years SolarNow will open offices in Tanzania and Kenya.
