We believe in a future where paralysis is no longer a life sentence. For the first time in history, treatments for paralysis are being trialled in humans. Our mission is to harness the power of international science to accelerate the delivery of revolutionary treatments to change the lives of the 60,000 in the UK, and millions around the world living every day with paralysis.  Over the last 40 years our research has delivered major advances in our understanding of paralysis and spinal cord biology, creating the possibility of delivering meaningful therapies and ultimately finding a cure.  Our most recently funded projects include clinical studies for the restoration of hand and arm function, improvements to help with bladder and bowel control, and the reduction of debilitating nerve pain.
