Careers at Strength and Learning Through Horses

Strength and Learning Through Horses is a charity based at a stables in North London. We aim to help young people up to the age of 25 who may be struggling with poor mental health, Learning Disabilities or behavioural difficulties to make positive changes in their lives through our equine therapy and alternative education programmes. Young people learn to care for and train the horses, and also some horse psychology and how body language and understanding emotions can help them build better and stronger relationships with people which in turn helps their confidence, social skills and engagement with education.

Escape's take on Strength and Learning Through Horses

Strength and Learning Through Horses is a charity that uses horses as a resource to help young people affected by trauma. They work therapeutically with young people to teach them about themselves, their emotions and their relationships through experiential learning with horses. Horses are big, beautiful, intuitive creatures - and the work they do is utterly unique. They were also awarded 'The Best Place to Work' in the Escape 100 2022. As an organisation, they are small, nimble, and open to new ideas. They care about their people and invest in their growth. If you want to make a lasting difference to the lives of young people, S.A.L.T.H is the place to do it.
