Sujata Banerjee Dance Company's ("SBDC") statutory objective is to: To advance the education of the public, particularly (but not exclusively) young people, in South Asian and other forms of dance and music activities and to encourage and promote greater involvement in and access to the same.  SBDC encourages young people, as well as members of the public more generally, engage in and learn about South Asian culture through dance and music activities. The organisation has played an important role over the last 35 years in helping young people in the UK from South Asian backgrounds connect with their heritage as well as educate members of the public on the rich cultural heritage in South Asia.
