The British Library
The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and is one of the world's largest research libraries, holding over 170 million items in all known languages and formats. It is also the library at the heart of the UK legal deposit system, a process that has been collecting books from around the world for over 400 years. It’s a fascinating place to work, as the breadth of what they cover is so diverse. From their national sound archive, to their collections of sound recordings, manuscripts, maps, stamps, journals, newspapers and patents, there’s something to pique anyone’s interest.
