📣 Mission & Purpose
The business was created to offer more ethical and environmentally friendly alternatives to some mainstream products, and that is reflected in its culture. It is great to work for a company that cares about ethics and makes decisions based on them; we even choose suppliers based on ethical principles. All of this means that I can be proud of where I work.

👩‍👧‍👧 Team members
Our team has great people in it who are good at what they do and that makes for a lovely working atmosphere. Everyone gets on well and cares for each other, so when I go to work it feels like I am working with my friends.

🏖 Flexibility
There is a lot of flexibility available to employees in terms of their working days and hours. This helps everyone to fit their work around other commitments and makes it easier to have a good work-life balance. That kind of flexibility is especially important to those of us with family commitments and helps to make the business more inclusive.

I love working at The Green Woman for a number of reasons, but especially because the people are great and there is a strong focus on being an ethical business. I have previously worked for businesses that were not very ethical, so it is refreshing to work for one that really values ethics.

📣 Mission & Purpose
Before coming to work for The Green Woman, I had no idea what the reality was regarding body care products and the major brands producing them. The Green Woman actually does what it says it does: it uses natural, organic products, recycles, repurposes and produces plastic free, vegan products. And it does it all the time.

👩‍👧‍👧 Team members
The team that has been put together is quite special. They are multi-skilled and multi-experienced. This gives an excellent pool of resource to draw from in addressing business needs; new product development, reaction to new customer demands, emergency spikes in customer demands, workplace re-organisation, acquiring new skills to adapt to a changing market. Everyone is always ready to muck in, from the top to the bottom, whether it's putting lids on jars or brain storming new product names.

😎 Autonomy
At The Green Woman, they are very good at explaining what needs to be done, explaining the systems that are in place to pick up potential errors, carrying out training then relying on the team member to do the work. The team member has confidence in their work and responsibility because they know non critical support is always there. This is why autonomy works here.

The women who formed The Green Woman believe in making the most ethically sound products with the best ingredients. From ensuring that monkeys are not exploited to harvest coconuts for the oil we use, to recycling used jars, every aspect of production is scrutinised to produce the best possible product for the user and the environment. Hence we are organic, vegan, plastic free and sustainable and very passionate about The Green Woman purpose.

🏖 Flexibility
My husband and I work as a team. We are able to combine our skills and organise our workload to suit ourselves. The management and team members all help each other to fulfill any commitments.

👭 Inclusivity
We have been welcomed into the Green Woman family and feel part of something very strong. We often work alongside the founders and they are always contactable if any problems arise. We have regular meetings with all staff members where we are all welcome to give updates on what is happening in our lives. Information about the business is shared so that we are able to feel part of the success of the business.

Overall

Each one of us is treated as a family member. We are given the respect to organise our own workload and trusted to produce the work required. We all care for each other and help each other out. We are all proud to be part of something so ethical and caring for the environment and people. Its a pleasure to come to work.
