The charity's objects, as set out in the Articles of Association, are: To relieve poverty, to advance education, and to relieve need in individuals arising from their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances; and/or To develop the capacity and skills of the members of communities in Portsmouth, Hampshire and the surrounding areas that are socially or socially and economically disadvantaged in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in society;
