Nestled in South Africa's magnificent Garden Route we are a small passionate community-driven NPO that aims to make a practical difference with integrated conservation. Our mission is‚ enabling an integrated stakeholder effort that is proactively involved in issues that impact the environmental resilience of the area. Why are we exciting? The Nature's Valley Trust (NVT) is a small community-driven NPO working at the cutting edge of integrated conservation in South Africa. We have 7 programmes that operate in four main arenas, namely Conservation Action, Environmental Education, Community Engagement, and Social and Ecological Research. We take a holistic view of people and the environment, and use our seven programmes to help shape how people live, how they view the world around them, and how they as individuals can contribute to conserving the natural world. 🏖 Flexibility
The Nature's Valley Trust ensures well planned out schedule from week to week, month to month. However, flexible time and schedules allows for more meaningful involvement in a range of different projects and programmes.
📖 Opportunities to learn
Nature's Valley Trust prides itself on providing learning opportunities across the board. There are numerous learning opportunities as a staff member within the organisation, connecting to all the different research programmes and science network. This further extending to interns and volunteers who also gain invaluable learning through NVT's programmes as well as tailored projects to help each individual grow in their specific field, providing a realistic and holistic approach to conservation. There are also a number of learning opportunities that are created through the NVT Environmental Education programme as well as Community Engagement, which improves environmental knowledge, creates awareness and understanding, and aims to change attitudes towards the environment.

The Nature's Valley Trust is a small organisation with a lot of heart, and a close knit team. The team has certainly become a family over the years. It is great to experience a team that can get along really well but also work efficiently and come together on projects to make them a success. The success of NVT would not be possible without good leadership and a strong team.
