That's one truckload every minute. and it's increasing.Yet up to 80% of the world's ocean plastic comes from a lack of waste management infrastructure in coastal communities around the world. How to stop it? Ocean Bottle are tackling this important head on with an innovative approach. When you buy an ocean bottle, not only can you rest assured that your days of single use bottles are firmly behind you, but you know that for every bottle that's purchased you're helping to collect 11.4 kgs of plastics in some of the most polluted areas around the globe. Ocean bottle funds the collection of wasted plastic in some of the poorest areas, giving a valuable lifeline and economy to otherwise impoverished areas and crucially creating a green economy which supports communities and the planet. It's no wonder therefore that Ocean Bottle ended up in the Escape 100 this year. Not only are they working towards solving a crucial issue in the world, and in a way that's sustinable and empowering for people who live in some of the dirtiest and most polluted areas, but they also achieved an average employee rating of 10/10 from their team.
