The Village Haberdashery

The Village Haberdashery is a modern craft shop and class studio based in West Hampstead, London. Our aim is to inspire everyone who walks through our door - or clicks onto our website - to make something amazing! We love to put a modern spin on traditional crafts and hand pick our products with contemporary crafters in mind. Many of the products we stock are locally, independently and or sustainably produced and everything we offer is beautifully designed.

Annie Barker opened The Village Haberdashery online in February 2012 and the West Hampstead shop in December 2012. Our bricks and mortar shop is beloved by makers and has become a travel destination for visitors from all over the world.

In early 2017, The Village Haberdashery moved its flagship shop to a bigger, brighter space to West Hampstead Square in the heart of West Hampstead’s business district. In 2015 we successfully completed a crowdfunding campaign and 14% of our company is now owned by more than 250 investors, most of whom are our customers. Key investors include Dorothy Hill, Rachael Bran, Marie Rafter and Manfred & Henny & Emily Zoe Schlett.
