TimePeace bridges the social gap between locals, refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. Currently it is nearly impossible for refugees and locals to meet outside of the formal structures of support services. We are changing this.
We create spaces where people from all walks of life can come together and feel at home. We believe that by giving people from different groups the opportunity to connect we will create more integrated communities; reducing loneliness and isolation, whilst empowering and reshaping the narrative around refugees and asylum seekers.
Over the last few years we have taken many forms. Each one dictated by our community and focused on more effectively achieving our mission to empower and promote the social inclusion of displaced people. Currently our community network is hosted on Slack. Slack is an online hub where our members can gather, connect around common interests, attend and host informal events and seek support. Due to Covid-19 all of our activities are online, but we hope to return to hosting in person events again soon!
