Tove Valley FC

Tove Valley FC are a community sports club based in South Northamptonshire who aim to provide open access to football for young members in the local community to deliver opportunities to participate in team sport beyond the ages of 16 to players who have a lack of opportunities within other football clubs, and benefit from the physical and mental health and wellbeing benefits of this. We provide weekly football training in the community from volunteer UEFA qualified coaches, which is completely open to all no matter experience, age, background and is provided for free. We aim to use the power of sport to deliver health benefits to young adults as well as encouraging life skills and personal development through participation in a team sport and through our work within the wider community through our player volunteering events. With equal opportunities a key principle of our club, we work with a number of charities to identify players we can support who are disadvantaged, offering memberships to players in the local care system who have been displaced or separated from their families and living in care as asylum seekers or victims of brutalisation. These players often have a lack of experience in formal football training and in understanding match rules, as well as having language and cultural barriers, yet a shared passion for football can massively help these young people in care to feel comfortable in their new community and grow as young adults We also are excited to have a brand new Ladies team, and as a club we have a complete 50% focus on the womens pathway, making our mark as a football club that has no priorities over Ladies football and is a key focus, ensuring no inequality and a being a champion for the Womens game in offering the highest standard of experience to Women in the local sporting community
