Through the conduit of Day Tours we make sure that people visiting our cities have the Best. Day. Ever! We offer unique locally operated satisfaction guaranteed day tours in 100+ cities around the world. More than that however we give the customer the chance to chat one on one with a local through the course of the itinerary so as to understand what they really want to experience in a city and then our expert locals use their knowledge and networks to make the recommendations that match those customer preferences. The value continues long after the tour is completed.

About us

Well, in 2008 or so, Intrepid Travel and WHL Group decided to join together to create a new style of travel experience. They wanted options for people who wanted to get off the beaten path and really connect with destinations on a local level...but only had a day to do so. 

In 2009, Urban Adventures was born with that premise - day tours, with a local. All over the world, our tours take you behind the scenes of a destination to reveal its hidden gems. With Urban Adventures local teams in every destination we operate in, you are assured a real local experience.

In 2014 we became a full member of the Intrepid Group

Before Urban Adventures - Day Tours were boring. We changed that. We are always looking for passionate people to revolutionise the boring tour landscape in their destination by showing people the city they know and love.

Urban Adventures is truly a global company, with local teams in over 100 cities around the world. Even our management team is scattered across the globe!

What can we offer Escapees?

Quite simply we offer you the chance to walk away from your cubicle or get out from behind the bar and instead, spend your time imparting your local knowledge about the city you love to a highly receptive and enthusiastic audience. If you're interested and confident about just being yourself - then we're interested in you. If your passionate about succeeding then we can help you make that happen.

In January of 2015 we dropped all upfront fees for PERFKT people to start their Urban Adventures destination. In 5 years we've learned what we needed to know how to help you be successful in a small tourism business and we give you the tools, training, network, systems and distribution to make that happen. You just need to concentrate on showing the city YOU know best and deliver outstanding value to every person you meet - ensuring they have the Best. Day. Ever. It's pretty great to just be making people's day - every day.
