Universal Sponsorship Pathway UK (USPUK) provides advice and assistance to displaced Ukrainians who have been forced from their homes by bringing them to the UK under the ‘Homes for Ukraine’ scheme. We have been awarded ‘Recognised Provider’ status by the UK Government, which means we are able to find UK hosts and match them with displaced people under the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
USPUK’s Afghan Resettlement Project, launched in June 2023, will provide resettlement support to Afghans on the ACRS and ARAP pathways. USPUK in cooperation with the well-known think tank More in Common, has recently concluded a survey of Afghans who have arrived in the UK in the last 2–3 years. The survey revealed that these refugee arrivals lack information across a suite of needs including housing, employment, and basic rights. A central strategy for USPUK, through its website, is to fill that information gap for this cohort, building on the work we have done for Ukrainians and also provide links to the many and fragmented refugee charities, Central and Local Government entities, and other organizations who provide services to refugees.
Mission:
To advise and assist those displaced by catastrophe who are starting their new lives in the UK.
We provide guidance and support and build networks to help displaced people not only survive in the UK but integrate and flourish in their own individual ways.
