About us

Volunteer 4 Africa is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people volunteer for free or at reasonable cost in Africa. As well as being an easy-to-use resource for anyone interested in volunteering in Africa, we encourage philanthropic travel by providing the wish lists of voluntary organizations and charities. In essence, we are a one-stop shop for volunteers and responsible travellers interested in making a difference to Africa's animals, its people, and the environment.

We take a two-pronged approach to meeting the needs of and improving environmental and humanitarian efforts in Africa. Firstly, we provide a free advertising platform for voluntary organizations to publicise their projects; and secondly, we help them receive in-kind donations from volunteers and travellers. It is generally acknowledged that most voluntary organizations are dependent on the support of volunteers and donors in order to carry out their work.
