You may not have heard of us yet, but for the past three years we’ve been working behind the scenes - in the lab and the kitchen - to create a fresh alternative in the booming sports nutrition market.

We love cooking (and, of course, sport), and we were fed up with the same old bars, gels, and sugary “fuel.” After long outings we had no appetite - and our co-founder Chris even became pre-diabetic.

In a study we ran with a French university, we discovered we weren’t alone: • 78% of athletes believe existing sports nutrition is unhealthy • 77% say it tastes terrible • 75% prefer savoury options

Meanwhile, a “Food First” movement has been growing among professional athletes - ditching ultra-processed products in favour of real food. We’re here to make that approach accessible to everyone, not just pros with private chefs.

Yanaa is a small, creative, science-meets-gastronomy team making chef-crafted, savoury sports nutrition that replaces ultra-processed sugar with real ingredients - without sacrificing performance.

Our products launched in July 2025: organic, cooked in Provence, designed to fuel endurance while supporting gut health and long-term wellbeing.

Who’s behind Yanaa? Yanaa was co-founded by former professional athlete, nutritionist, and private chef Anouck Grau, alongside regenerative designer Chris Bellamy (ex Marketing & Concept Manager at Salomon).

Our mission is simple: help athletes fuel better - with real food that’s healthy, delicious, and joyful.

Yanaa stands for “You Are Not An Astronaut”, because we believe: 🚀 You don’t need to eat astronaut food. 😆 You shouldn’t take yourself too seriously. 🌍 And you should take care of this planet while you’re at it.
