    β›‘ Employee wellbeing
Year Here puts employing well being at its heart. They understand that our staff team cannot support our programme participants to get the most from the programme and go on to create thriving social enterprises if they are not well supported by us, and therefore we in turn must be well supported and we are.

    πŸ‘ Inclusivity
Year Here never rests on its laurels, we know we must be constantly improving, evolving, understanding and this is the case when it comes to inclusivity at YH - we have travelled and we are determined to keep travelling, in the right direction to make sure our programme is inclusive, equal and accessible for all.

    πŸ“– Opportunities to learn
Working with such a smart team is a privilege with such a diverse range of experiences and expertise as well as opportunities to train and develop prior learning. I feel so grateful for the training courses I have been able to attend.

    Overall

The above explains really. I love working at Year Here, it's genuinely a special place.

    πŸ‘ Inclusivity
Year Here is the most inclusive and open work environment I have worked at. Under ZoΓ« Stanton's leadership we have invested a lot of time and resource into ensuring Year Here is a fulfilling and healthy work place where all backgrounds can thrive. Despite our small team of under 15, we represent so many different communities and feel like a great representation of Greater London. We have mental health leave, access to therapy and in-house pastoral support. I feel we regularly celebrate things like my heritage, queerness or neurodiversity by placing importance on the expertise and insights these experiences afford me. Our co-design and co-production approach has enabled us to grow into one of the social impact spaces most diverse workplaces with 45% of our community (staff, Fellows and faculty) being from Ethnic minority backgrounds, 60% being women or non-binary, 20% being LGBTQIA+, and 20% being from Disabled or Neurodiverse communities.

    πŸ“– Opportunities to learn
Every day is a learning opportunity at Year Here. Having been given more agency in defining my job role, as well as ample and regular training opportunities, I feel like I am continually progressing and learning.

    πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§ Team members
Our team is great. What I love most about it, is our ability to crack on and get the work done, while also supporting and trusting each others' intentions, work style and expertise. Every person feels hand selected to add something new and complimentary to the existing team and my colleagues make it a genuine pleasure to come into work. I have gone on holiday with many within our team and would consider them close friends. While at the same time, feeling like everyone sets very healthy work-life balance.

    Overall

Despite always loving the team, I had a bit of a rocky start at Year Here coming to grips with the role and work style. Through that, the team has always rallied around me and supported me in a way that made me feel like they were in my corner, trying to see my thrive. It's the healthiest work place I have worked at. Despite being an intellectually stimulating workplace with a lean start-up approach, I have always had very healthy boundaries that were respected and reinforced by management - ensuring everyone had appropriate say in their workplace experience and work/life balance.

We haven't gotten everything right, but our commitment to continual improvement is supported in ethos, practice and budget; meaning that even when things go awry, they don't stay like that long.
