York Hub

York Cares is a partnership of the city’s leading employers committed to making York a better place through employee-volunteering. We match the skills and expertise of employers and their employees to community projects where they can have most impact. Our tried and tested programmes deliver tangible benefits for local people as well as workforce development opportunities for employees.

We work closely with City of York Council and York CVS to address community needs and help those who need it most.

York Cares enables employers to make an effective and strategic investment in our community. Our inspirational employee-volunteers give over 10,000 hours of their time each year to over 200 worthwhile VCSE organisations and schools in some of York's most disadvantaged areas.

Our priorities include:
ÔÉótengaging disadvantaged children and their families in learning through York Children's University
ÔÉótsupporting charities to generate new income through the Enterprise Hub
ÔÉótproviding supported work experience for young people leaving care through our Starting Blocks programme
ÔÉótimproving the physical environment of our city through our Team Challenges programme
