About the Programme
This is a 15-week evening programme designed to help women get into tech by teaching them to become a software developer.
A software developer creates computer software to solve real world problems. They work as part of a team of people with various different areas of expertise, working closely together to bring a project to life and deliver a high quality software product.
At Sky, technology underpins everything we do. Our software development teams work on a huge range of products, from the Sky Go apps used by millions of customers every day, to the software used by our call centre staff, to the various Sky websites used by customers for finding the latest movies to watch or even buying remote controls.
If you do choose to pursue a career in software development you’ll be part of a growing industry, with good earning potential and plenty of opportunities to fulfil your ambitions.
The course will begin with 5 days of full immersion modules, so we can build a foundation of skills in a short amount of time.
For the remaining 14 weeks, the course will be run on in the evening between 6:30pm and 9pm. The courses will run virtually online.
At the end of each course module, you will be offered some mini-projects to work on which relate to your course and can be done whenever you want during the week. We will give you further support if needed by providing tutor support sessions, which will also be ran virtually with the instructor.
