Global Schools Forum (GSF) is a collaborative community of non-state organisations working to systemically improve education for underserved children, through:

  • creating learning and networking opportunities
  • scaling innovation through funding and coaching
  • generating and diffusing evidence of what works in education
  • strategic policy engagement

Our community of 66 organisations spans 52 countries from India to Uganda to Brazil, collectively running or supporting 30,000 schools who provide quality education to over 5 million children. We work in partnership with mission-aligned organisations, including funders, policymakers, and research institutes. Our vision is that all children can realise their potential through safe access to quality education.

We are looking for an ambitious Associate to join the GSF team as we grow our work. As an integral member of a growing entrepreneurial team you will provide a range of support across GSF’s teams, thriving on the variety of the role. We are looking for someone passionate about international education and eager to grow within the organisation. We will provide opportunities for working across different organisational projects, providing exposure to GSF’s various workstreams and allowing you to develop your professional skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage administrative tasks for all teams and support with general office management.
  • Work closely with the Head of Operations to develop, implement and improve operational systems, policies, and processes and to support HR functions, including team recruitment and development.
  • Work closely with the Manager (Learning) to plan and operationalise Communities of Practice and other learning activities for GSF’s communityof non-state organisations.
  • Lead on end-to-end management of online and in-person events for our community, partners, GSF team and Board.
  • Lead on the Annual Member survey, including analysing results and making recommendations based on feedback from the community.
  • Work closely with the Communications Manager to support with the implementation of GSF’s communications strategy and to develop a new website for GSF.
  • Support the development and expansion of GSF more broadly, engaging with cross-organisational priority projects.

Contract: Part-time (0.8 FTE), permanent contract

Salary: Commensurate with experience. £30,000 - £34,000 + 11% pension contribution (pro-rated)

Location: London, UK. Agile working is encouraged but a minimum of one day per week based in the office is required (currently on a Wednesday).

Holidays: 27 days per year (pro-rated), plus all public/bank holidays
