Head of Sales & Marketing

Fast growing start up, Inkpact, seeks an amazing Head of Sales and Marketing who can lead our teams at this key time in our business growth

Exciting opportunity to join fast growing start up, Inkpact. We work with top retailers across the UK and US, sending handwritten notes on their behalf to delight customers. 

Our clients are some of the world’s most successful brands who have chosen to use Inkpact to drive better results than their traditional CRM emails (and we really do drive far better results!) – John Lewis, Sweaty Betty, Boden, Orlebar Brown and more. 

All these notes are written by our scribe tribe – a group of incredible creative freelancers who write our notes from their homes. Our scribes include parents, people recovering from illness and those affected by COVID-19, and we move their lives forward through handwriting. 

We are looking for someone to head up our Sales and Marketing teams. With our sales targets double what they were last year, we are at a pivotal point in our business growth – driving our business to the next level, getting the most out of our marketing efforts, filling up our pipeline and making more of our existing clients will be key to the success of this role, and key to this next step in our growth plan. 

As we are a small (but growing!) team, this person needs the ability to be strategic and have the confidence to make decisions, but not be afraid to get their hands dirty. They’ll need to be experienced in Retail, CRM and Loyalty, and have experience in heading up sales and marketing teams. 

Our sales and marketing teams are made up of smart people with bags of initiative, so the person coming into this role must be able to give guidance and direction and use this to stretch each person’s potential rather than dimmish their room for growth.

Responsibilities include:

Marketing

·      Maximise growth and results from our increased marketing budget

·      Monitor existing channels

·      Test new channels

·      Support the Marketing Manager in their decision making

·      Ensure there is enough flowing through our marketing funnel to make our sales targets possible

·      Support the Marketing Manager in budget management

Sales

·      Keep the team on track, motivated, and focussed on hitting their targets

·      Ensure we’re making the appropriate margin across the board

·      Work with the team to increase our conversation rate

·      Work with the team to increase our average deal size

·      Assist the team with client strategy, measurement and reporting recommendations

·      Jump into the sales process if needed

Account Management

·      Support the Account Manager in retaining and growing our existing clients

·      Assist the Account Manager with client strategy, campaign ideas, and any escalations

General

·      Achieve our growth targets 

·      Monthly KPI tracking for business development, sales and marketing

·      Weekly 1:1s and frequent development with the sales and marketing teams

·      Ensure Hubspot is being fully utilised and the team are following all business processes

Requirements:

·      Previous experience heading up sales and marketing teams

·      Retail, CRM, Loyalty or Strategic Marketing experience

·      Amazing at building a rapport with people of all levels and backgrounds

·      Proven track record retaining clients and growing revenue 

·      BSc/BA in Business or other relevant field

·      Excellent verbal and written communication
