We’re looking for an in-house Talent Partner to join our People team and help us bring in the world’s most exceptional people to drive forward our social mission.

Beam is going through true scale, we’ll more-than-double in size in 2022. This role will not only hire incredible people: you’ll be working alongside industry experts to shape hiring processes and incept change during a pivotal moment in Beam’s journey! 

About the role

You’ll be working in a small, high-achieving team and reporting directly to our Director of People & Talent.

Our Talent team is in the early stages of a huge transformation, ranging from interview processes to employer branding and internal policies. Your job will be to solve problems in a complex hiring market, ensuring Beam is best-in-class in all areas of Talent Acquisition, whilst hiring top talent for a social mission

You’ll be

  • Owning the hiring process from end to end for key roles - this includes working with managers in building job briefs to designing and executing effective hiring plans 

  • Sourcing brilliant candidates from LinkedIn, Otta and other job boards - creating pipelines for immediate vacancies and talent-pooling for the future

  • Using your creativity to drive Beam’s employer brand, creating higher top of funnel engagement with top tier talent

  • Delivering unparalleled candidate experience, including delivering constructive, sensitive feedback to candidates

  • Becoming an expert user of our ATS system (Team Tailor), using data to track performance and suggest improvements

  • Build high quality hiring plans for roles you own, continually iterating your approach to attract top talent and streamline our assessment process

  • Working cross-functionally with various team leads (including our co-founders), gaining an understanding of how our business operates to frame hiring plans accordingly 

  • Playing a leading role in the continued development of the Talent function as we scale

You are

  • Highly results-driven and hungry to hire the best talent to work on social impact

  • Highly proactive in your approach, keen to roll up your sleeves to make things happen and ensuring we are always improving  

  • Humble, empathetic and keen to learn as part of a team 

  • Passionate about startups and using technology to help disadvantaged people

  • Data-driven and analytical when delivering recommendations on the best hiring channels and comfortable reporting on performance 

  • Naturally organised, able to independently manage a varied workload 

  • A natural relationship builder: you enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life to create meaningful relationships

  • Passionate about delivering an amazing candidate experience, including those that we are not going to offer

  • Keen to bring your true, open self to work

You’ll need

  • > 3 years’ recruitment experience, working in a fast-paced environment (if you have less experience but feel you can excel in this role, we’d love to hear from you!)

  • Experience working in agency or in-house, ideally with exposure to fast-growing tech organisations

  • Amazing articulacy and story-telling when it comes to persuading a candidate to join Beam!

  • An active listener and the ability to multitask and manage large numbers of concurrent conversations

  • The type of personality that gets a kick out of being busy and managing a breadth of conversations all in one day

  1. 30-minute video call with our Talent Partner

  2. Timed practical test, giving you a better sense of the role

  3. Role play task with a member of the team

  4. 2-3 final interviews with our CEO and other team members
