What You'll Be Doing
At Opply, our strength is the efficiency with which we deliver leading-edge products and support to those we serve. We’re proud to set the standard for success in our industry. To help us continue our growth, we’re seeking an organised and ambitious professional to help us expand and look after our growing network of global suppliers. There's lots of room for growth and more senior roles in the commercial team from starting here.
- Help to shape the strategy for our growing supplier network, identifying the right path for supplier growth and satisfaction
- Identify and make contact with prospect new suppliers, using data, research and your own intuition to aid your decision making in who to contact, aligning with brand needs
- Create and maintain an organised new business pipeline, following up with potential new accounts, and helping convert them to Opply
- Establish and develop relationships with new suppliers to understand their needs and map them to the solutions we provide
- Provide demos of the Opply platform that demonstrate how our solution can, amongst other things, bring them viable new business opportunities
- Manage supplier relationships, owning account management and communications, and product requests/contracts
- Update internal CRM with all relevant details
- Partner with Marketing and Product teams to create the best product for suppliers, aligning supplier experience with business vision
- Go above and beyond to be an Opply spokesperson, exceeding growth targets in line with achieving the overall business objectives
- Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, competitors and providing supplier feedback
What Experience You Have
- 2+ years in sales, account management or supply role. Experience within food and bev and/ or B2B accounts preferred but not essential
- You understand, and have experience of how to communicate with suppliers
- You have shown a natural flair with customers, and ongoing over performance of targets
- You are highly analytical and data-driven - you can manage many complex parts of the sales process, providing numerical updates to stakeholders
- You can think across multiple dimensions of a business (sales, product, marketing etc.) and work well cross-functionally
- Resourceful and happy to roll up your sleeves to get any job done
- Familiarity with supply systems (procurement software, catalogues, ERP) preferred
- Experience in the food/consumer goods industry with brands and suppliers preferred
