The role

To be an integral part of the Sustainability team by delivering carbon, energy, and sustainability related projects with a high level of customer service, giving businesses the power to go beyond net zero. Supporting the solutions team in the achievement of company growth targets by offering technical input with the securing of new business and ensuring opportunities are optimised within the existing customer database.

The responsibilities (there are more!)

  • Delivery of and support (in terms of data analysis and report writing) with various sustainability related projects including Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) and organisational, product and packaging carbon foot-prints which may include visits to customer sites
  • Independent project management of customer projects, keeping to set deadlines and maintaining contact with customers.
  • Responsibility for improving the efficiency and quality of jobs and ensuring processes for completing jobs are followed and well documented
  • Maintain a good understanding of carbon, energy and sustainability policy and regulatory change and have input into Beyondly’s change strategy in line with the organisational roadmap
  • Completion of internal audits
  • Identifying opportunities and cross sell all other services to existing customers
  • Assistance with preparing/delivering webinars when required

The person

A good understanding of climate change and greenhouse gas accounting is preferable, you will have strong IT skills, be an expert using MS Excel and comfortable working with large datasets. You will be passionate about the environment and sustainability and be excited to work for a business for good as well as the prospect of helping businesses be the root of action in reducing their environmental impact. You must have a strong work ethic, working well under pressure with excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. The work environment is fast paced, therefore you will be good at thinking on your feet and learning quickly.

To thrive in this role, you will be confident speaking with customers and stakeholders at all levels with a focus on customer service and find building strong relationships easy. You will have a ‘muck in’ approach to teamwork, being flexible and highly resilient to change.

If you have any background in sustainability and environmental services, experience in a similar related role or a relevant degree or qualification that’s even better! A UK driving licence will be required in order to carry out on-site customer visits. A wicked sense of humour is a bonus too!
