We're on a mission to inspire people to live a more adventure-rich life, help a global community of local businesses to make a great living doing what they love, and protect the world's wild places, one adventure at a time.

Our multi-award winning adventures are continually rated 5* by our tribe of loyal customers, we’re backed by some of Europe’s leading investors and entrepreneurs, and part-community owned. We also just won ‘Best for Experiences 2022’ at the Travolution Awards and are proud to be B-Corp Certified.

If you get a kick out of supporting local, independent businesses around the world, and are in your element trekking, cycling, climbing mountains, kayaking or something equally exciting, you are in the right place.

The Role

We are on the lookout for an Assistant Adventure Product Operations Manager to join our growing Host Operations team here at Much Better Adventures. In this crucial role you will be supporting three highly experienced Host Product Operations Managers to help our community of over 100 independent, local hosts to deliver incredible trips for our customers.

This is a new role which can be shaped to suit the needs of the business and your skills. We’re a bunch of team-players, so it’s important you’re happy getting involved in a wide range of tasks (big or small), and as a fast growing business we will give you the training and skills to be managing your own portfolio of hosts as soon as you are ready, with opportunities to promote to a Host Product Operations Manager in the future.

Initially you will be running projects which involve all of our hosts across the globe so no regional specific knowledge is required. To be successful in this role, you will need a meticulous eye for detail, be comfortable with a fast-paced working environment, and have a natural aptitude for relationship building.

Your role will involve (but will not be restricted to):

  • Helping with onboarding, first trip preparation and first trip reviews with new hosts.
  • Running vital projects to ensure our trips run safely.
  • Working closely with the CX team to help them respond to customer questions.
  • Supporting capacity management to ensure our revenues are optimised.
  • Updating the website trip pages as required.
  • Aiding the Host Operations team with host contracts and pricing.
  • Assisting with safety assessments, ensuring compliance with our safety requirements and incident management.
  • Compiling and updating competitor analysis.
  • Reviewing customer feedback and making recommendations for trip improvements.
  • Thinking smart, systematically and in a logical way about how to refine our systems and processes for working with our ever-expanding team of local hosts.

Each day you’ll be:

  • Building relationships with our hosts and ensuring their trips are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Working closely with our skilled Host Product Operations Managers and the COO to ensure the smooth running of our trips
  • Working closely with the CX team to help them respond to customer questions.
  • Ensuring the trip pages are accurate and hosts have a good understanding of how to use our systems.
  • Championing our hosts within the company to ensure we are providing them with the necessary tools and support to deliver trips for our community.
  • Responding to feedback from hosts and customers to continually improve the quality of our product.
  • Reviewing product performance and making continuous improvements to trips.

Requirements

You should apply if...

  • You have good experience (2+ years) in a product or operations role within the adventure, travel or outdoor sector.
  • You constantly strive to make improvements to systems, workflows and processes.
  • You pride yourself on your meticulous attention to detail.
  • You are a self-starter who can confidently manage your own workload with minimal supervision and are ambitious to take on more responsibility.
  • You are an effective communicator with excellent written and spoken English and strong interpersonal skills.
  • You are able to work under pressure, learn and adapt quickly, and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • You are flexible, thrive on change, are self-driven and able to work independently as part of a remote team.
