Launched in 2019, Taptap is tapping into a transformative shift in global finance: from banks to phones. The role

Taptap Send is seeking a seasoned compliance professional with 3+ years of experience to join our Belgian entity, which is an NBB regulated payment institution. The role is full-time and based in Brussels. The AMLCO will be responsible for managing our compliance analyst team and implementing the compliance program for Taptap Send’s EU business in line with the requirements of our regulator and partners and will report to the Head of Financial Crime.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and training our team of AML analysts and supporting our KYC agents to oversee the implementation of our global second line controls Carrying out review and scrutiny of internal SARs and filing external SARs within Belgium Working with the Head of Financial Crime and Belgian Compliance Officer to continue to improve our compliance software and continue to position tech at the heart of our compliance program Scrutinising and testing our compliance programs, including quality assurance, analysis of findings and overseeing resolution of any issues  Maintaining and developing systems to track and monitor our compliance with both our internal policies and regulatory requirements Working closely with the Belgian Compliance Officer to maintain our regulatory licence in Belgium under which Taptap Send conducts all EEA business Supporting on engagement with the Belgian regulator and other stakeholders Supporting on the regulatory reporting for our European business, responding to information requests and proactively communicating product changes and other important events to relevant external parties  Supporting with the preparation of internal compliance reports to management and the board Supporting the management of our regulatory compliance documentation, policies and procedures as it relates to our EU business

You have:

Experience building and leading teams of 3+ people in the compliance sector An in-depth understanding of Belgian and European AML/CFT legislation and regulations 3+ years of experience in a regulated financial institution in a compliance or compliance-related role Ideally 1+ years of experience working in the international remittance industry or in a financial technology company A passion for using technology to solve compliance issues  Experience with compliance systems (transaction monitoring, sanction screening, etc) Attention to detail while still seeing the bigger picture The ability to help create and foster an effective compliance culture Good communication skills and the ability to express opinions and concerns clearly Fluency in English; a Belgian national language is an advantage ACAMS, ICA or a similar Febelfin qualification The right to work in Belgium
