We are a team of 500+ fully remote people in 60+ countries working hard to serve the global chess community. We are also growing fast, with more than 100 million players choosing Chess.com as their online chess home.
We are a tech company. A gaming company. A content company. And we do it all with passion and commitment to the game. Above all we prize our mission-driven, flat, life-celebrating, no-corporate culture, and we look forward to meeting you and learning more about what you can bring to the team.
About You
You are the most organized person you know. You handle anything and everything handed to you. When something needs to get done, you know exactly what components make up that project, how to sequence them, how to document, and how to execute. But you also have a creative side where you love to be part of making something fun, interesting, dynamic. You love chess and are ecstatic to work with the team at Chess.com to help bring to life the most amazing chess events in the history of the game.
What You’ll Do

Your job is to help take content full cycle: idea → publication → post-mortem. You aren’t necessarily the “hands” in any part of this: you are the grease, the glue, the nudge, the process, and the hero that the team relies on to see the forest, not the tree.
- Improve content workflows
- Help shepherd content projects from idea to millions of engagements
- Work with VP of Content & International, Sam Copeland, VP of Chess Ops, Alex Brewer, and the rest of the amazing Chess.com content team!
Preferred Skills
- 3+ years in digital project management

- Fluency in PM tools like Asana, JIRA, Monday, Trello, etc
- Deep understanding of the online chess community
- Excellent communication skills
- Culture fit with Chess.com’s mission-driven, low-ego, remote environment
