About the role

The Operations Department is looking to build our Financial Operations Support Team in Cebu and want to hire people who are productive, detail-focused, and proactively practise open communication to support the needs of our Finance Team in reconciling post-paid transactions and determine the root cause of Reconciliations problems that impact the business and our external partners.

As a member of Zepz payments team you will aim high, embrace challenges, and always do what’s right; acting with integrity and building trust as you contribute to the company’s technical direction and long-term decision making.

Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, you will:

Work on the escalations from both our internal teams and external partners in relation to unreconciled transactions and other postpaid issues. This means:

  • Handling tickets or issues raised by the Finance Reconciliations team.
  • Investigating deeply to understand transactional problems which are causing the inconsistencies in settlement reports.
  • Spotting trends and anticipate if it is a one-off issue or part of a bigger systems problem.
  • Raise or take on projects which help improve or streamline our Operational systems and processes which affect Finance and our external partners.
  • Constant communication within Operations and the rest of the Zepz payments team and our external partners. 

Please note:

  • This is an onsite role located in Cebu, Philippines
  • The successful candidate will be working 4 days a week, 11 hours a day. 

What we are looking for from you...

  • College or Bachelor’s degree (Finance or Business-related course is a plus)
  • Results driven and can get things done.
  • Proactive and requires little oversight.
  • Willing to learn and gets a thrill out of solving problems (knowing HOW and WHY things work a certain way).
  • Loves getting into the details and can extract data to communicate information effectively.
  • Solves problems with a methodical and systematic approach
  • Strong organisational skills that can keep up with ETA’s and timelines.
  • Can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech savvy and is familiar or can be easily trained using Google Workspace and applications.
  • Basic to intermediate Excel and other MS Office skills.
  • An outgoing person and can build professional relationships easily.
  • Fluent in written & spoken English with excellent communication skills.
  • You are able to work morning shifts.
