What does a Marketing Copywriter - US English do at Busuu?

As part of the Creative Marketing team, you will be working across all our marketing channels to create customer-first copy for all branded touchpoints:

  • You will be able to translate our value proposition into consistent and compelling stories that entice new and existing users to engage with our platform
  • You will use your in-depth understanding of the US Market to write engaging copy which resonates with that audience
  • Alongside the rest of the Copy team, you will be a guardian of our tonal identity and messaging hierarchy and will incorporate them into all copy produced
  • You will work closely across the business, with our design, marketing, product, localisation and education teams to assist in building a consistent brand experience that engages and inspires our learners

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience writing US English copy for brand advertising and marketing, preferably in the EdTech space or relevant industry
  • You have broad knowledge and a deep understanding of copywriting methodologies, techniques and tools
  • Experience writing copy for multiple audiences and channels (email, in-app, paid and organic social, SEO, PPC and web)
  • Able to translate abstract/complex concepts into digestible and engaging copy
  • Proven ability to create impactful, concise and clear messaging that informs, delights and engages
  • You are an advocate for the value of excellent copy and can articulate that to the wider business, educating and offering guidance where needed
  • You understand the importance of maintaining momentum in projects, challenging your team and others to move at pace and release value to our learners fast and often
  • You approach copy in a way that works cross-platforms and cross-devices, with a clear focus on UX
  • You are a self-starter, happy managing your own workload, but also enjoy collaborating with the rest of the team to improve and develop our brand and our product, as well as the team culture.
  • An interest in languages is a plus.
