About the role
As our new Marketing Manager, your main focus will be to communicate externally the importance of why Blue Cross exists and the amazing work we do. Partnering with our Service (which includes rehoming, veterinary, behaviour and pet bereavement support) and Public Affairs teams to understand objectives and build external communications plans that deliver against these objectives
You'll develop and deliver externally facing paid marketing plans, aligned to overall objectives and working towards one integrated plan across the Blue Cross. You'll work closely with external agencies (media and creative) developing and executing plans, liaising with key stakeholders across the organisation to engage, consult and keeping them updated on plans. Post execution, you’ll evaluate campaign performance and create reports providing valuable insights for decision making.
About you:
You’ll be a confident, natural communicator with great project management skills and attention to detail. You will have a passion for marketing that you want to share, whilst also supporting and engaging those who have limited marketing experience and understanding.
You’ll have a ‘can-do’ attitude, be able to innovative and deal with complexity. You’ll be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both internally and externally. Able to prioritise, you will remain calm under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines. You will have a proven ability to work independently on your own initiative and as a member of a team.
You'll have:
• Proven experience in delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital channels
• Creative, with experience in identifying target audiences and devising and executing campaigns that engage, inform, and convert
• Demonstrable understanding of brand and its importance
• Experience of working in cross functional teams and with marketing agencies
• Proven ability to influence and explain marketing concepts, especially to those with a limited understanding of marketing
• Understanding of metrics and ways to measure the impact of activity undertaken
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Excellent project management skills
Although not essential, we'd like you to have:
• A marketing qualification
• Experience of working with not-for-profit organisations
• Experience of charity campaigning planning and communication
