Join Origin Coffee as they are looking for a Social Media & Content Creative

You will oversee the creation and execution of all content across the Origin social channels, email, and internal communications. Ensuring the Origin brand story is brought to life in an engaging and consistent way for our audience.

This role will be based in London with monthly travel to Cornwall.

Social

  • Plan, create and schedule all content for Origin’s social channels. Overseeing everything from day-to-day content through to largest campaigns which feed into the winder Origin marketing strategy.
  • Foster relationships with existing and new communities through our social media channels.
  • Oversee the content calendar for all social channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, all of which are considered from the outset when it comes to planning new content stories.
  • Track and measure performance of all social content across all channels. Reporting and sharing both weekly and monthly insight with the wider team and using it to inform ways of executing future content.
  • Deliver influencer outreach for Origin. By identifying on-brand tastemakers in social communities and build partnerships with influencers, brand advocates and other creatives. Reaching out to them to achieve coverage on a monthly and project-specific level.
  • Success will be measured on product placement from influencers and content creators. It will be your responsibility to track and document engagement and share this with the wider team.
  • Community management and engagement is an important part of this role. This includes sharing and interacting with the content our community creates daily check-ins and responses to messages as well as monitoring and responding to post and story comments.

Content creation

  • You will work with the Brand Marketing Manager and Copywriter to shape the Origin global content calendar – inputting new and exciting ideas which set Origin apart and position us as leaders in our field.
  • Off the back of this, you will plan and execute all relevant content messages across website, social and email.
  • The Origin Copywriter and Junior Graphic Designer and Brand Manager are your closest teammates - you will work closely with all of them to ensure content is consistent, on brand, and innovative.
  • As well as utilising the library of existing content, with your photography and video skills you will create engaging new assets that will amplify the brand.
  • The ability to plan in this role is key, you will own a detailed content schedule showing at any given time the following 2 weeks of content with dates and timings specified. This is schedule is something which is always shared with the wider team.
  • You are responsible for content creation at all key brand events, when you are unable to attend you can give clear briefs to the person acting on your behalf.

Email

  • Support the ecom team by building and scheduling the global emails per week alongside segmented emails to local audiences where required.
  • Approving all emails before going live with Origin Copywriter.

Internal monthly newsletter

  • Pulling specific department updates into a visual and engaging newsletter which is shared at the same time each month.
  • Create a template for this newsletter which is easy and efficient to adapt on a monthly basis.

Essential qualities to have

  • You a true speciality coffee fan and have a great knowledge of the industry.
  • You understand the Origin brand aesthetic and are confident creating and curating content which plays into this.
  • You are happy with a camera and can capture great looking stills and video.
  • You are highly organised. You can take several different tasks and feel comfortable with prioritising and managing the expectations of those around you.
  • Audience-first mindset: you always put yourself in their shoes when it comes to how you create content.
  • You have a creative eye and can work well with designers to brief and deliver great, on-brand work.
  • You understand the importance of setting and measuring KPIs.
  • You’ll be someone who owns mistakes and learns from them and is able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • You have a curious mindset - you dive-in, figure things out, develop an understanding, test new ideas, share your mistakes and learnings.

Desirable qualities to have

  • Photoshop experience.

Salary £30,000 FTE per annum DOE

Base London

Holidays 29 days including bank holidays and your birthday off, with additional days accrued after two, three- and four-years’ service.

Pension

Employer (5%) and employee (3%) pension contribution, a combined 8%.
