This is a role at the heart of Taptap Send. You will be responsible for building the best analytics tools and systems, and the best models and decision support, in global cross-border fintech. You’ll build a world class team that combines technology, commercial acumen, and leading edge science. You’ll work closely with leadership across our functions and play a critical role in our highest stakes daily decisions and charting our future path.
ResponsibilitiesLead and motivate analytics and algorithms team – Build a world class team of data engineers, data scientists, and commercial analysts, who own building and maintaining decision tools that add value across the business Cross-functional leadership – Promote a culture of best in class data-driven decision making across our functions, baking in high-quality decision processes as we continue to grow at triple-digit rates over the coming years Decision support – Engage with the Board, management team and all our functions on critical decisions, bringing best-in-class analytics and models to enable decisions Pricing – Lead the build-out of our pricing tools and systems to support our regional and growth teams in setting prices, the highest-impact daily decision we make Algorithm development – Lead the general development of new models and algorithms, from the identification of business and customer problems through development to deployment
RequirementsExperience in a data science and analytics leadership role in highly competitive, high-growth environments Experience leading the development of algorithms and models for uncertain, changing environments Preferred – technical experience building leading-edge machine learning models and deploying them to add customer and business value Preferred – commercial experience in a cross-functional management team, working closely with peers and leadership in other functions Comfortable with the combined volatility of emerging market capital flows and a rapidly scaling start-up Detail-oriented -- you sweat the small stuff Highly organized and able to balance competing priorities Effective at communicating the value of data and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in decision making
