The Role

Feast It is rapidly growing across our core offering of bookable event verticals, but we’re actively looking for new markets to leverage our market-leading technology in.

The Head of Market Expansion will be responsible for launching new verticals, setting them up for scale and shepherding them into being a vital part of Feast It’s core offering for the long term.

The role will be responsible for its own budget, targets, and building a core team to deliver rapid growth and influence Feast It’s long term growth and product strategies.

Feast It recently added Venues to our bookable events verticals, and now we’re scaling the offering within our wider business. initially the Head of Market Expansion will manage our expansion into this area. Our goal over the next 24 months is that this revenue stream becomes a core portion of our product mix, and this role owns the end-to-end ideation and delivery of this revenue stream,

The role will be a blend of owning your own sales strategy and working to improve the full Venues experience; including product, marketing and operations. You will effectively be leading a startup within the business tasked with making venues work seamlessly, before taking your learnings to help dictate our longer term vertical growth strategy.

As Venues are so crucial to the event booking experience, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all areas of the next stage of our growth. You will constantly innovate to create a better place for customers to book their venues; offering incredible matchmaking and customer service.

Initially you’ll manage our Venues Commercial team; An Account Manager and Venue Partnerships Manager, but you will have your own p&l to own, and will be responsible for helping develop the longer term hiring strategy for the department.

You will also be the key representative of venues and other new verticals to other internal teams, working closely with product, engineering, marketing & operations to ensure we’re building a compelling offering for venue customers.

The role will initially report into and work closely with the Commercial Director and communicate regularly with Founders. In the long term the role will report directly into our incoming COO and the CEO.

Successfully launch and scale our primary new vertical, Venues:

You will have overall P&L ownership for the venue vertical on Feast It. You’ll be responsible for drawing together all the elements needed to ensure we hit our sales targets, as well as owning the hiring roadmap, and broader budget for a new department.

This will act as a framework for successfully launching and scaling a new vertical:

From customer journey mapping, through to supplier onboarding, and developing long term strategies of the new vertical to scale with our existing customer and product.

In the longer term the role will also be central to identifying new verticals, markets, and territories for us to expand into, as well as developing our launch strategy from end to end.

Have direct experience of successfully launching new verticals for a rapidly scaling start up, preferably within the commercial sector. Marketplace experience is a bonus.

An entrepreneurial mindset for innovation as well as the ability to solve problems end-to-end

The ability to grow and manage a team will also be integral, so you’ll need previous management experience, particularly in rapidly-scaling organisations.

You’ll be an authority on sales best practices, tactics and strategies. You’ll be leant on as the sales subject matter expert within the business, so you will need to be forthcoming with your expertise.

You’ll have a flair for finding solutions and getting things done. We’re a startup, so you’ll need to lead from the front by strategising and executing in equal measure.

Are emotionally intelligent, empathetic and personable. We care about our customers and take their needs seriously, so we need you to show that too!
