In this role, you’ll lead Entrepreneur First’s communications strategy across both owned and earned media, sparking awareness and curiosity amongst exceptional future founders, innovators, and investors. You’ll define EF’s core messaging and narratives, partnering with our local teams and agencies to tailor them to audiences around the world, and bringing them to life across press, social, our website, video, podcasts, speaking engagements, and new platforms.
This is a new role on a growing team, with the opportunity to build content into a strategic advantage for EF and to influence wider marketing strategy. Reporting to the VP Marketing, we’re looking for someone who enjoys flexing across both high-level strategic questions and the detailed wording of a press release.
What You'll DoCreate and execute a content marketing strategy to generate compelling content to increase brand awareness, drive leads, and engage our community. Act as EF’s editor-in-chief, overseeing the editorial calendar and developing stylistic standards, including voice and tone guidelines. Experiment with the channels and content types we produce to meet our audience where they are, taking creative risks to find new ways to connect with and engage outlier talent. Manage media relations, building relationships with key outlets and journalists to drive effective media coverage of EF and our founders. Authentically build a large influencer network; putting EF into the heart of the conversations so that others are telling the EF story and amplifying the messaging; Use data and analytics to measure KPIs, and help guide and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic content initiatives and campaigns. Lead a small team of employees, contractors, and agency partners to produce consistently excellent work.
5-9 years of experience in content marketing and/or multimedia publishing, preferably to a technical, scientific, or other specialised audience. Exceptional writing and editing skills.Demonstrated experience in driving press coverage and earned media. Experience working across geographies and cultures, effectively managing global messages with local nuance and targeting.
