Who you are:
You're a confident, clear communicator and born leader with professional experience in a sales environment. You have strong people management skills and enjoy coaching and working with your team to deliver high performance. You'll be skilled in planning resources, people, and priorities with a flexible approach and strong problem-solving skills. A self-starter, you'll have experience growing a team and onboarding new joiners. You have basic IT skills (databases, CRM's, MS Office, etc), and are able to multitask and manage your time effectively. You'll be high accuracy, quality, and attention to detail in everything you do. To add, not only do you have a strong belief in excellent customer service and are confident dealing with customers via email, phone, and CRM software; you're also able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation, third party suppliers, and installers. You'll be data and target driven to measure success and spot areas of improvement.
You must have prior knowledge of energy, renewables, or electrical design. Prior experience within the UK residential solar and energy storage market is desirable. A passion for the way we use energy on the grid is a must- with a tenacious focus on helping people make the shift away from fossil fuels towards cleaner energy.
What you'll do:
Ensure your team consistently exceed monthly targets and report details of your team performance against business set objectives- as well as relevant third parties.
Manage the team responsible for handling and nurturing customers from new leads through to the completion of solar house survey. This includes(but is not limited to), initial quotation and solar system design.
Ensure all quoting activity adheres to MCS and company guidelines, and is accurate to protect both customer and business.
Support new members of the team to grow their knowledge, facilitating development plans, and contribute to training.
Be the key point of contact to the team to respond to and assist team members to resolve escalations or technical questions.
Develop and maintain a sales plan for 12 months ahead, including recruitment; identifying key activities and when they are to be delivered.
Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to conduct coaching, feedback, one to ones, and performance analysis for all team members, to support them making improvements as necessary to deliver improved sales performance.
Have proven team management in a fast paced environment and proven ability to motivate and organise a team to maintain high moral.
Support the integration of new services, products and operational processes to continually improve the business.
Work with marketing and/or other internal departments to pro actively identify and target customers
Work with various parts of the business to resolve issues, identifying where there are opportunities for process improvement and/or development.
