Community Sales Manager - Coworking Office Spaces
£35000 + commission

The community team here at Spacemade are called Spacemakers but the Community Sales Manager is a Spacefiller. Starting from an empty building, your primary job is to use your powers of persuasion and enthusiastic charm to ensure our co-working space in Birmingham is full to capacity with happy members through proactive sales techniques you have acquired either directly in co-working or events space sales.
This is a dual role as when capacity is met, you will be part of the Spacemakers (community team) arranging events with an eye on building ancillary revenue, giving tours, ensuring the operation is running smoothly and keeping our members happy.
Your focus:
Your main focus is driving sales and retention within the 10X Birmingham community space. In short, selling our co-working space through a range of techniques from lead gen/initial enquiry through to signing and onboarding.
Sales
- Own the full sales process from tour to negotiation and closing
- Manage negotiations with customers and closing of new business contracts
- Support community managers to ensure a seamless sales experience and high retention
- Manage commercially driven relationships with 3rd party brokers and agencies
- Maintain a constant awareness of competitor markets and products
- Delivering weekly/monthly reporting on sales performance against KPIs
- Manage the renewal process alongside the Senior Community Manager
- Proactively seek opportunities for member expansion
- Work closely with the sales & finance team to maintain desk rates
- Delivering weekly reporting on sales performance against KPIs
- Represent Spacemade at external events
- Drive revenue through the event space
- Partner with third party booking platforms to promote event space
Community
- Ensure member relationships and retention are optimised by providing excellent member experience and engagement
- Update and complete sales CRM as required.
- Act as point of contact for member queries and concerns
- Source local partners for events
- Source paid partnerships and promote event space hire with local suppliers and vendors
- Ensure all events and marketing programmes are executed across sites in a timely manner.
- Support the Community team in creating and delivering an engaging member events programme.
- Work closely with the community team to push event sales within the location
Skills & Knowledge:
- 2+ years in membership sales preferably from the flexible workspace or hospitality industries
- Extensive member facing and customer service expertise
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to put together pitches and proposals
- Multi-site working
- Target and KPI driven
- Resilient self starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills
- Demonstrable experience of acting independently
- Ability and willingness to learn and grow in the role
