Job summary:
The goal of the Senior Climate Solutions advisor is to manage a key portfolio of clients at South Pole independently. You will ensure client satisfaction by guaranteeing a high-quality standard of South Pole’s services and solutions as well as understand their needs and develop tailor-made solutions with the support of senior managers.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Take an active role in managing a portfolio of existing clients and build strong, long lasting, trusted relationships
- Ensure client satisfaction by guaranteeing a high-quality standard of our services and anticipating their expectations and objectives
- Manage proactively the client relationships and position South Pole as their preferred partner for sustainability solutions
- Write compelling proposals, participate in negotiations and close deals (including the Contractualization process)
- Assist senior management in complex deal negotiations, contract development as well as account management task
- Provide market feedback to practice leads, business lines managers and marketing team
- Develop and improve specialised skills and knowledge linked to the topics and services offered by South Pole
- Support senior sales team in further developing South Pole’s thought leadership, services, products, marketing materials and offerings
- Take the proactive lead on specific solutions and coordinate with involved stakeholders
- Participate in targeted client communication and joint marketing activities
- Represent South Pole in client meetings, sites visits, at conferences and remote
- Share proactively know-how and market feedback within the company
Requirements:
Essential -
- University degree in Environmental Sciences, Business or other relevant discipline
- Relevant knowledge of the carbon market, corporate sustainability, climate change etc
- Relevant experience in the field of sustainability, corporate responsibility, climate change or renewable energy and in a sales role
- Highly result-oriented with a strong drive to engage with existing clients
- Strong track record in meeting client expectations
- Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
- Good prioritisation and time management skills
- Autonomous yet collaborative approach to work
- Excellent English and French and or Dutch language skills is a must, any other languages a plus
- Willingness to travel (mainly France Belgium and Luxembourg)
Desirable -
- Entrepreneurial mindset, sense of responsibility and willingness to take initiative
- Excellent working knowledge of all Google Suite applications and MS Word
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment
- Diligent, reliable, proactive and self-sufficient but collaborative approach to work
