As Strategy Director you will play an instrumental role in shaping Lyst’s strategic direction and communicating Lyst’s narrative to investors and key stakeholders. You will partner closely with CFO and C-suite as you lead strategic planning, own investor communications and lead key strategic initiatives.

You will be leading the Strategy squad that is responsible for identifying and evaluating new opportunities for Lyst to pursue, keeping a pulse on industry trends and their implications, preparing board and investor presentations as well as fundraising and corporate development.

You will report to the CFO and manage a Strategy Analyst. You will also collaborate with stakeholders across the business incl. Finance, Growth, Partnerships, Product, Brand, BI and more.

Responsibilities:

Strategic reviews and planning:

  • Leads annual strategy review process and informs company’s new strategic bets
  • Leads key cross-organisational strategic initiatives / projects including Sustainability
  • Support corporate development as opportunities arise

Fundraising and Investor Relations:

  • Crafts Lyst narrative using qualitative and quantitative skills for fundraising efforts
  • Develops investor relations strategy and framework, supports key investor relationships
  • Creates advanced presentations and materials for CXO / Board discussions

Market Insights and Research:

  • Develops in-depth market analyses that leverages internal data and external research

Cross-functional collaboration:

  • Successfully builds trusted stakeholder relationships across the business and fosters cross-org collaboration on projects; seeks input and feedback often

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in an investment banking environment, or strategy and investor relations role
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable building complex models and dealing with large data sets, must be highly proficient in Excel, familiarity with SQL / Looker a bonus
  • A pragmatic problem solver, with the ability to identify the exact data points to answer challenging questions
  • An effective communicator, in both written and verbal contexts, that presents topics in a clear, structured manner and is comfortable presenting to senior leaders
  • A relationship builder, able to collaborate and build trust with a diverse set of colleagues, with differing perspectives
  • A strong project manager, able to juggle multiple projects and demands, able to context switch and navigate ambiguity
  • A humble teammate, passionate about making an impact and continuously seeking ways to grow and develop
