Who Gives A Crap

Supply Chain Specialist (UK/EU)

Not all heroes wear capes — but plenty of them use toilet paper. Want to challenge yourself at a high-growth startup AND make a difference in the world? Come join the revolootion!

Funny name, serious business

We make eco-friendly products and donate 50% of our profits to help build toilets for the billions of people who lack proper access. So far, we’ve contributed over $11 million AUD (roughly £6.2 million) to fund water and sanitation projects around the globe. Basically, we’re really good at doing good.

With hubs in Australia, the Philippines, China, the US, UK and Europe, our ambitious team of 200+ work tirelessly to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next couple of years, we’re working to increase our annual donation tenfold and we won’t rest until everyone in the world has access to clean water and sanitation services.

A bit about the role

Our global logistics team makes magic happen by delivering much needed toilet paper to customers across North America, Australia, the UK and Europe. For us, it’s more than just about getting boxes from the warehouse to doorstep, it’s about ensuring that we uphold our brand and values at every stage - delightful, sustainable and socially responsible.

Our UK/EU team have some big things in the works: domesticating production, launching new products, and expanding into new channels, and we are seeking a proactive Supply Chain Specialist (UK/EU) who can jump in and use their expertise to make sure our day-to-day operations are running smoothly; our order flow is supported through great relationships, processes and knowledge of our systems with warehouse, delivery partners and retailers; and our logistics function is set up for the future through continuous improvement and regular reporting and analysis. The work is wide and varied, and will give this person a real opportunity to understand the supply chain inside and out.

We’re hiring for this role from anywhere in the UK/EU although we are looking for knowledge of local manufacturing in the UK. Our hybrid hub model means this role will be remote first, though if you’re based in London there’ll be opportunities for some in-person connection and collaboration in a coworking space. We’re not immune to the effects of challenging time zones but we look to solve this by flexing our hours with an occasional early start or late finish so there is collaboration “prime time” between hubs.

If you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in:

  • You’ve worked with one of our UK retailers on the introduction of a new SKU in their range
  • You’ve resolved a delivery issue with our logistics partner and subsequently made our customers very happy
  • You’ve had an early morning call with our Australian colleagues about new functionality in the ERP system.
  • You’ve troubleshooted with one of your EU-based colleagues and found a way to help them use the ERP system better.
  • You’ve analysed the forecast versus actual demand on one of our fast selling SKU’s
  • You’ve just finished a report on carbon and energy usage in our supply chain
  • You’ve come up with a great new idea on how to save CO2 in the logistics supply from our UK-based manufacturing location.

Let’s talk about you

You're a people person

You’ve found yourself thriving in the world of logistics as it provides so many opportunities to work with people. From your team, to your partners, to your customers - you’ve honed your craft in building and leveraging relationships. You pride yourself on identifying what’s important for all parties and striving to ensure it’s maintained.

You're also a numbers person

You keep your finger on the pulse of your metrics - from customer experience to cost - and you’re always looking to data and KPI’s to inform your decisions and build the foundations for partners to report on, track and beat their SLA’s and KPI’s.

You live for processes

You have the ability to think logically and in a very organised manner - you especially have a knack for details. Yet you’re also able to think critically, solve problems quickly and efficiently, make sense of data and provide recommendations based on that analysis. You’re tech savvy, stay on top of the latest developments and use all the tools in your toolkit to find new ways to improve business capabilities.

You’re a big fan of change and can navigate ambiguity with ease

Scaling up, pivoting and diversifying are great buzz words, but they’re also hugely motivating for you. You thrive on working in a dynamic environment and you’re adept at leaning on systems, processes and people to respond to (and embrace!) change.

You give a crap

Do you want your work to make the world a better place? Do you want to work with other people who feel the same way? What a coincidence — us too!

Why should you work with us?

First off, there’s the feel good stuff. As a certified B Corp™, we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the highest standards of social and environmental impact. We also believe that helping to make the world a better place shouldn’t have to mean getting paid peanuts — it’s why we offer super competitive salaries, benefits like tailored learning and development opportunities, generous paid parental leave and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).

Have you made it this far?

If you’re still reading, we think there’s a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here’s the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don’t check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all.
