We are looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst to collaborate with colleagues to manage the product delivery roadmap and to realise the organisation’s digital requirements.
Business Analyst – The Role
- Define & document the Digital Products in the Digital portfolio.
- Define end-to-end customer experience with business stakeholders.
- Work to ensure that customer journeys, business process flows & epics & stories are clearly articulated.
- Collaborate with outsourced software delivery resource ensuring that they understand digital requirements, scope & delivery.
- Work with the digital tester to ensure that all acceptance criteria is tested.
- Responsible for maintaining all Epics, Stories, customer journeys, business processes & non-functional requirements for Digital products.
Business Analyst – About You
- Extensive business analysis experience for digital products
- Experience of working with Atlassian Confluence & JIRA
- Proficient user of tools that build customer journeys & business process flows, such as Figjam, Miro & Visio.
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking & problem solving skills.
- Highly organised & with an eye for detail.
- Time management skills.
Ecological Data Scientist – Nice to Have
- Background in healthcare or biodiversity or other science fields.
- Experience of working with Mapping or GIS technologies.
- Experience with DNA-based data, GIS, mapping, and/or study design.
- Experience of re-platforming or redesigning existing digital products.

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the IT department on managing the Product delivery roadmap and with other members of the Product organisation on realising their digital requirements. The role reports to the Digital Products Owner
The successful candidate will design product solutions and be a key member of the team to help define end-to-end customer experience with stakeholders of the business. A background in healthcare or biodiversity or other science fields would be advantageous as would any experience of working with Mapping or GIS technologies
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Define and document the Digital Products in the Digital portfolio, including concept ideation, customer journey definition, business process flows, Epic and Story writing with clear acceptance criteria, backlog grooming, and business value specification
- Prior experience of replatforming or redesigning existing Digital products desirable
- Understand and be able to explain the Epic and Story writing across process across Digital and product teams. Work to ensure that Customer journeys, business process flows and Epics and Stories are clearly articulated and understand by product stakeholders and the development team.
- Support the Digital product owner in balancing competing interests across the business in the Digital product owner council
- Work with outsourced software delivery resource ensuring that they understand the digital requirements, scope and delivery
- Work with the Digital tester to ensure that all acceptance criteria is tested
- Prior experience of working with Atlassian Confluence and JIRA
- Experience of tools that Build customer journeys and business process flows – Figjam, Miro, Visio etc
- Any experience of working with Map technologies for rendering customer data on different map technologies using Choropleths or other map centric digital designs would be useful
- Responsible for maintaining all Epics, Stories, customer journeys, business processes and Non functional requirements for Digital products

PERSON SPECIFICATION
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
- No specific qualification required but business analysis and experience is required
- 3+ year’s experience in Business analysis for Digital products
